Introduction

Welcome to the Games of the Week Page for Greenbears 2000 Ultra Baseball. This page has links to selected recent scoresheets from the previous week. The most interesting games from throughout the season may be found on the Best Games page.

Click on the "score" button, to read the box score and play-by-play scoresheet for each team's Game of the Week. Box scores will only be available for the most recent scoring period, although the previous scoring period's best games will also be listed on this page. Those boxes can be obtained by e-mailing the Commissioner.

Virginia Lions - 3113 - Lions beat Knights 10-9 in 12 inn.; A.Rodriguez's third HR ties the game in the bottom of the 12th, then D.Veres' wild pitch scores B.Giles from 3B with the winning run; Grieve's RBI single had put Knights up 9-8 in the top of the 12th; Lions had lost 5-1 lead, Knights went up 8-7 in the 6th inn.; S.Casey's HR tied game 8-8 in the 6th; A.Rodriguez: 3 HR, 4-5, 4 RBI.
Indiana Knights - 3112 - Knights rally to beat Lions 15-8; A.Rodriguez, Sosa HRs put Lions up 6-2 in 3rd; Bonds' homers in 4th, 5th lead comeback; T.Percival's 2-out wild pitch in 7th allows Bonds to score go-ahead run; after R.Villone falters in 9th, Garciaparra's grand slam off D.Wells ices game.
Dayton Blackbirds - 3182 - Birds beat Knights 4-3 in seesaw game; Garciaparra HR ties game for Knights in 8th; C.Johnson's RBI single scores Bush with go-ahead run in bottom of 8th; Urbina retires Biggio, Bagwell, and Garciaparra in order in 9th for save.
Aurora Emerald Aces - 2971 - Aces edge Knights 10-9; Aces blow two 4-run leads; back-to-back Larkin grand slam, A.Jones HR put Aces up 5-1; Aces score 3 more in 4th on 4 hits and an error, but get two men thrown out running the bases; Bonds 3-run HR closes gap to 8-7 in 7th, and S.Green HR ties game in 8th; J.Giambi HR puts Aces back up in 8th; Aces hit 5 HR, but use 8 pitchers; Knights leave 10 on base.
St. Pete Roses - 2981 - Roses rally from 6-4 deficit in 9th, beat Blackbirds 7-6; B.Williams hits 3-run HR off Urbina to end the game.
Charlotte Chargers - 3121 - R.Henderson, R.Ordonez RBI hits in the 7th help Chargers rally from 5-0 deficit to beat the Roses 6-5; Chargers' Guardado, Rivera retire 12 of 13 batters in relief.
Ross Lake Yellow Sharks - 3193 - Yellow Sharks win pitching duel against Chargers 3-2 in 14 inn.; J.Offerman's 2-out RBI single vs. M.Rivera ties game 2-2 in 8th; C.Beltran's 2-out single to left off Rincon scores Surhoff with winning run, as G.Vaughn's wild throw home bounces past catcher B.Ausmus.

Virginia Lions - 2782 - Lions rally from 6-1 deficit, beat Knights 8-7 with three runs after two out in 9th; Bagwell's 2-out 9th inn. error starts Lions' rally; L.Gonzalez's pinch-hit bloop single scores tying, winning runs.
Indiana Knights - 2781 - Knights rally from 7-3 deficit, beat Lions 11-7; Garciaparra's three-run HR off Wells ties game in 7th inn.; Knights score three more off Halama in 8th.
Dayton Blackbirds - 2923 - Birds blow 6-0 lead, fall behind 8-6, then score three in the 7th to beat the Aces 9-8; R.Mondesi, A.Gonzalez hit back-to-back HRs in the big 7th; Urbina strikes out Lieberthal, McGwire with tying runner at 2B in 8th.

Ross Lake Yellow Sharks - 2912 - Yellow Sharks rally from 4-0, 5-1 deficits to beat Knights 9-8 in 10 inn.; Surhoff's 2-run HR in 8th puts Sharks up for first time; Stairs RBI single ties it for Knights; Surhoff, Helton RBI doubles off R.Hernandez put Sharks up 9-6 in 10th; Biggio 2-run HR closes gap, but Timlin gets save.
